Chequer or chequered plates are known for providing desirable anti-slipping and decorative features. Built with a regular pattern of projections on one side displaying either diamond or other possible shapes, the reverse side is smooth. Chequered  plates which are pretty light in weight serving desirable anti-slip and decorative functions are oftentimes, made of steel, stainless steel, or even aluminium plate materials. Thanks to the projections, chequered plates are great in keeping skidding at bay. While manufactured from varying materials, chequered plates made of steel are typically capable of withstanding prolonged wear, hence great wearability on the long run; resisting the likelihood of sliding, thus the excellent anti-slip function; and draining the surface on its own whenever necessary.
